Membership Growth, PILOT 2018
In 2017 UGGA set the ambitious goal of growing the organization from current 200,000 members to 450,000 members by end of 2020.
The PILOT 2018 tested the UGGA membership growth concept in five districts within one region.
Recruiting and training a sufficient number of new leaders, primarily in schools but also in communities, was essential to the tremendous and rapid growth. The training included Social Entrepreneurship training provided by Danish Girl Guides, that subsequently inspired UGGA to integrate this approach in overall UGGA leader training.
The PILOT 2018 further included development and implementation of a digital membership system and strengthening of the current membership fee-structure for schools and individuals, to ensure stable income for future Guiding activities.
